51st SHADE Conference. 11/12 Oct 2023, Manama – Bahrein.
The Shared Awareness and De-Confliction (SHADE) Conference is an unclassified
forum which brings together international navies, representatives of global shipping industry
associations, nations and international organisations who share a common interest in combating piracy
and Maritime Security issues in the Western Indian Ocean. SHADE is co-chaired by the Combined
Maritime Force (CMF) and the European Union Naval Force (EU NAVFOR) Operation ATALANTA and
is attended by many other nations and associations outside of these organisations, being the shipping
industry and international navies the key nucleus for this key conference.
All delegates attending the 51st SHADE are requested to register via the SHADE
website www.shade.mschoa.org . The SHADE website will be used to coordinate and update
attendees. It also contains the minutes and presentations from previous SHADE meetings. If
